Interested in becoming certified but not sure whether you’re ready?
We understand that the certification process can be stressful, from the uncertainty of whether your records are adequate in me, to having an external organisation evaluating the core of your business’s operations. This can be further amplified if your organisation is unfamiliar with Management System Standards or the Certification Process. While we here at QSERC are available to assist in your journey to Certification, as an independent third-party Certification Body we are legally unable to certify a system that we, or our auditors, have assisted in modifying or implementing.
Although there is a lot we cannot do in regards to your management system, you have options:
Purchase a copy of the relevant standards yourself and make changes internally within your organisation to conform with Certification requirements.
While this option is more cost effective in the short term, unless there is an employee within your organisation who has the ability to fully interpret the information contained in the Standard and the relationships between clauses, you are likely to be faced with critical complications during your audit.
This may mean that your eligibility for Certification is deemed non-compliant, and you would be faced with the cost of requesting another audit, and focusing man hours on reviewing and updating your system.
Engage a Management System Consultant who is well equipped to modify or establish a system that complies with Certification requirements.
We recommend that you engage a consultant specialising in the development of management systems, who is well equipped to modify or establish a system which both complies with any given standard and ensures a tailored fit for your business.
Engaging a consultant ensures that your Management System is well equipped to meet the requirements of any given Standard. We can provide you with information on local consultants, where required.
